Dinner with Leta and Kelly

Jim made us crab omelets and mimosas for breakfast.

We made the crossing and headed for Victoria this morning.  When we arrived at the customs dock there was no one there so we tied up and waited, and waited, and waited for our clearance.  Meanwhile one of the harbor police came by and asked us to move the boat to make room for another larger vessel on its way in.  Jim and Melissa managed to make a bit of a mess of things when we untied the boat and it blew off the dock.  Ooops.

After we cleared, we headed for the main marina down town.  Dave managed a kick ass docking by making a 180 degree turn while squeezing between the boats to land right behind a giant ship named Popeye.  Their dingy is named Sweet Pea.  Cute.  As we settled into the marina, we realized there was a jazz band playing.  Unbeknownst to us, the BC Smoke Shop Blues ‘n Roots Festival is here this weekend and our dock is right next to the stage.

Leta and Kelly came for dinner.  We had tons of crab.  And a rhubarb pie for dessert.
