After a couple days at Lagoon, we moved onto Echo Bay. Melissa was still on a call as we neared the marina so Dave decided to keep going onto Sullivan Bay. We made water on the way, adding about 60 gallons to the tank. Dave has noticed an odd correlation - we use water faster the higher the meter reads. Maybe he needs to add a resistor to trick the meter into reading lower, therefore reducing consumption. The trip was super calm most of the way.
It is very quiet at Sullivan with only three other boats. We decided to stay 3 nights until the planned crossing on Thursday.
The new microwave brackets ripped out of the plywood cabinet. Dave fabricated a new hanging scheme that should be a lot stronger.
Tuesday, Platypus III came in. We met them at Lagoon Cove a couple of days ago. They caught back up after spending the night in Laura Cove. Dave got to use his multimeter to help Keaton diagnose a starting issue and straighten out his battery monitor.
Dave put out the crab trap where the marina folks told us to go and got a big Dungeness.
Wednesday, Dave flew his drone. Keaton went out fishing in his dinghy. Just a lazy day. In the evening, Platypus came over for dinner. Our last night before the crossing of the dreaded Cape Caution.
