We left Victoria for the San Juans. Back in the USA (again). We cleared on ROAM once through Cattle Pass. This time, unlike Alaska, they wanted a video conference. She was very nice going through the Q&A of what kind of food we had. Then she had Dave open the fridge so she could see what we have. Sure enough, she spotted prohibited food: garlic. Dave threw it overboard using the phone to let her see it floating in the water. That was a first: virtual onboard inspection. We proceeded up to Blind Bay on Shaw Island and enjoyed two peaceful nights on anchor.
A blow was in the forecast so we wanted to be tied up somewhere. We headed off to La Conner for 3 nights before going further down to Everett. We will be in Everett for a week doing errands and visiting friends and family.
